Inception

From the mango to its nectar, Aamrass is an expression of nostalgia through a distillation of stories, textures, and memories.

Process

Rooted in the designer’s own narrative of growing up in the vibrant, multicultural tapestry of Southeast Asia, Aamrass draws from a world where tradition and transition coexist. Each piece becomes a quiet echo of you. One for the archives, shaped by the warmth of memory and the richness of craft.

From the Founders

Growing up in Delhi, I found beauty in quiet rituals. My mother carefully wrapping her Banarasis in mulmul, my father ensuring his trousers fell just half an inch below the ankle. It was in these everyday details that I first fell in love with design

-slowly, quietly, and deeply.

Working in Delhi, I met Anu Bhargav, whose passion and command over design reignited my own. Inspired, I left my 9-5 to create Aamrass-a space to return to the embrace of stories, rituals, and memories that continue to shape me as a designer. Aamrass is our attempt to manifest joy through everything weve learned, loved, and continue to be moved by.

Aamrass began as a feeling long before it had a name. In 2015, after leaving Fabindia, I yearned to reconnect with handcrafted traditions, work that always felt like home. Motherhood soon reshaped my world, teaching patience and resilience. In this journey, I met Akshika Balyan, sharp, soulful, and deeply aligned in vision. Together, we dreamt of a brand rooted in nostalgia and storytelling. Aamrass, evoking childhood summers, the taste of home, and enduring memories—became our name, our essence, and the spirit behind every piece we create.
